My Approach
Life is full of so many different kinds of stress and unknowns, emotions can be confusing, and thoughts can be scary. The world can often feel unsafe which can lead to us feeling burnt out, disconnected, insecure, anxious, angry, or even at times, hopeless. Learning how to regulate your body, thoughts and emotions will help you navigate stress more effectively and feel more safe and connected.

Our bodies and brains are constantly scanning the world for threats of danger, and deciding whether we are “safe” or not. When our brains perceive something as a threat, it notifies our bodies to do something about it! You may begin to avoid people and situations as your anxiety grows; you may forget to stand up for yourself or adopt others opinions to avoid confrontation; you may feel mistreated or attacked and lash out at those you love without knowing why; or you may shut down because it hurts less. For kids, this may look like defiance, emotional reactivity, self-deprecation, separation anxiety, isolation, excessive worrying or explosive behaviors.
My aim is to provide a compassionate and inclusive space for you to explore all of these unknowns and to highlight your unique strengths and challenges. I believe in the power of collaboration and tailoring my therapeutic interventions to meet the specific needs of each individual or family.
